Day 1: Paro – Thimphu
Arrival to Paro Airport, one of the most captivating place in Western Bhutan. Upon arrival and check-in at a hotel. Tour of the city including Memorial Chorten and Trashi Choe Dzong. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant in the town area.
Day 2: Thimphu – Punakha
In the morning drive to Punakha, the Ethereal Ancient Capital of Bhutan. We will halt at Dochula Pass, where 108 chortens was built as a tribute to His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuk and Druk Wangyel Lhakhang (temple) on the central hillock. On the En route visit to Chimi Lhakhang, built on 15th century by the saint Drukpa Kuenley. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3: Punakha – Trongsa
Early morning visit Punakha Dzong which appears as a great anchored ship on a stretch of land where two rivers flow, the Pho Chu and the Mo Chu. Later drive to Trongsa for the tour of magnificent Dzong. Arrival to beautiful place will visit the Trongsa Dzong, largest Dzong in Bhutan measuring about 225 meters. After that visit to the Ta Dzong (National Museum or Watch Tower), built in 1652. Evening rest and overnight in Hotel at Trongsa.
Day 4: Trongsa – Bumthang
Morning departure for Bumthang, a home to some of the Kingdom’s most ancient and precious Buddhist sites. Later visit the Jamba Lhakhang, the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 659 A.D. and Kurjey Lhakhang built around a rock in the 8th century. Overnight at one of the hotels or resorts.
Day 5: Bumthang
Enjoy your day in Bumthang. The guide will take you on a tour, including the Jakar Dzong or “Castle of the White Bird”, later uncover the Kencho sum Lhakhang, it is said that three sacred Buddha Status miraculously flown from Khini in Kurtoe. If time permits visit Tamshing Lhakhang and Mebar Tsho (Lake). Evening stroll the gentle valley of Bumthang ad overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Bumthang – Thimphu
Morning check-out and departure. Proceed to Thimphu where packed lunch would be served at a beautiful site. On the way visit to Wangduephodrang Dzong perched on abridge overlooking the Punatsangchu Rivers and Dangchu rivers. Overnight at one of the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 7: Thimphu – Paro
Meeting with guide drive to Paro valley tour. The program includes; main market, Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Paro Rinpung Dzong. Leisure time and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 8: Paro Tiger Nest
Hike to Taktsang, magnificently build attached to the cliff of 3000ft. above the valley. The trip will take us 2 hours. While return to Paro back to the hotel and free time.
Day 9: Departure
In the morning transfer to Paro Airport, for your flight back home. We look forward to seeing you all again in the land of happiness and hope you have beautiful memories. Tashi Delek.
